Policies and Program Contacts

Please be advised that the information contained in this website is subject to change. TNTP Academy staff will periodically provide all participants with up-to-date program information and any policy changes.

Placement Changes
You are expected to remain in your original school placement for one year. In limited instances, you may be allowed to secure another teaching position if you are meeting all program requirements and are displaced due to changes in district needs or requirements. This arrangement can only be made if your new teaching assignment is in alignment with the certification area you are pursuing through TNTP Academy.

Should you be displaced from your position for any reason, you must contact your Partner Program staff and TNTP Academy immediately.

Out of the Classroom Policy
One of the requirements of TNTP Academy as mandated by the Louisiana Department of Education is that participants complete a year of full-time teaching in their certification area. This requirement helps to ensure that TNTP Academy is effective in helping teachers positively impact student achievement by providing them with the opportunity to immediately apply what they're learning through our program with the students in their classrooms. Participants must secure teaching placements within their certification areas prior to the first seminar (not including the Orientation Session) in order to remain enrolled in seminars.

TNTP Academy Office Hours
TNTP Academy staff may be contacted for questions or assistance during typical weekday office hours of Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm. The TNTP Academy office is not open on weekends. During non-office hours, you may leave messages for TNTP Academy staff via email or voicemail.
